Job Description:
· Client is looking for a self-motivated and hands on Quality Assurance Tester to work for our major banking client in San Ramon.CA.
· The QA Tester is responsible for quality and test related process execution with high impact to the business.
· This includes providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test plans and test cases; and performing / leading test execution for both project and support related activities.
· The QA Tester is responsible for coordinating all phases of testing: system integration testing, system testing, end to end testing, performance testing, and security testing. Testing can be manual or automated (Selenium Web Driver).
· The QA Tester should be familiar with the Agile Methodology as well as be familiar with Automation technologies.
· Should be an excellent and effective communicator that is used to working in a matrix style environment.
Job Requirement

· Senior QA Tester – 5-7 years
· Banking Experience or Financial 2 years is fine
· Excellent Communicator and Hands On person
· Really looking for a senior person, they need someone who can work independently and ultimately give direction later to junior team members if needed and still be very hands on, so prefer LEAD experience
· The entire project will be in an AGILE Methodology
· During the early stages the project will be majority Manual Testing but they want to implement automation so someone who has automation experience is preferred
· HP QTP, Selenium for Automation
· Experience using Jira for defect tracking
· Strong SQL
· The will also be testing their Business Process Management Software (BPM) which is Appian. They must have BPM testing experience and having specific Appian Testing experience would be a plus
Job Responsibilities
• Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and test scripts.
• Execute test cases, test scripts, capture test results, test metrics and report to the project manager.
• Identify and track system defects, perform root cause analysis of the defects, and work with the development team to resolve the issues.
• Ensure traceability between user story, acceptance criteria, and test case.
• Perform and coordinate system verification and validation test activities utilizing various tools such as HP Quality Center/Selenium Web Driver.
• Perform quality assurance testing activities to ensure the applications and products/releases are in compliance with the quality assurance standards of the Bank.
• Monitor/review automated script creation where applicable based on product undergoing testing.
• Develop, track, analyze, and communicate test-related metrics to project team.
• Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Required Experience
• 5-7 years of experience in the Information Services field, focusing on Quality Assurance activities and testing methodologies.
• Minimum of 2 years financial or banking Quality assurance testing
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking
• Experience with set up and administration of testing tools such as HP Quality Center / Application Lifecycle Management, HP Quick Test Professional, HP Load Runner, HP Service Test, etc.
• Business Process Management Testing Experience, Appian (BPM) knowledge a plus
• Very comfortable using T-SQL or PL/SQL for database validation
• Prefer prior experience using Selenium Web Driver/Java for test automation
• Well versed in Agile methodology and prefer it currently being utilized in your current/most recent projects
