Title: BI/Tableau Consultant

Location: McLean, VA / Washington D.C. 

Type: 6-mon Contract to Hire

MUST HAVES:

 

• more experienced in creating tableau visualizations and dashboards

• de-emphasizing analytics

• data visualization 

MUST BE A US CITIZEN

 

Required:

 

·         Work as a Business Intelligence (BI) developer and data scientist on a team responsible for creating enterprise-wide business analytics solutions.

·         Primarily focused on developing new dashboards and other analytical tools to help clients better understand their data and make critical business decisions in the areas of finance, human resources, and business development.

·         Actively participate in the full range of development activities including working with domain experts and data scientists to characterize important questions and available data, and then designing and developing effective, intuitive, and impactful data visualizations.

·         Work with the latest data visualization techniques and technologies, evaluate new technologies, and innovate on new approaches to solve pressing client mission needs.

·         Utilize strong technical and analytical skills to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights, which in turn can provide a competitive advantage or address a pressing business problem. 
Using expertise in Computer Science, software development, and the latest technologies to design and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations.

·         Leverage understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, computer science and or domain expertise to bridge the gap between technologists and mathematicians, ensuring software solutions meet analytic requirements. 

·         This position requires knowledge and skills normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in a technology or science related field.

·         Experience with database technologies (such as SQL) and BI technologies (such as Tableau, Qlik, and Oracle OBIEE) are highly desirable

 

Requirements:

 

·         more experienced in creating tableau visualizations and dashboards

·         de-emphasizing analytics

·         data visualization 

·         Tableau Certification is a plus
