The primary responsibility of the Investments Software Developer is to provide assistance with the maintenance, enhancement, and support of an internally developed portfolio management application. This application is a .Net desktop client written in C# and WPF which utilizes a Microsoft SQL Server backend. The applicant will be expected to work on both the client and server side.
Essential Job Responsibilities Design and implement new features and enhancements to an existing .Net application, utilizing C#, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and Entity Framework (ORM) technologies. Analyze existing code and recommend improvement for better maintainability and performance. Translate business requirements into technical requirements. Write detailed technical and end user documentation. Research, analyze and propose technical solutions to problems. Support end users by providing training, and investigating and resolving technical issues. Manage expectations for multiple projects simultaneously while staying on top of tasks and deliverables. REQUIRED SKILLS Proficient in writing code in C# Proficient in creating user interfaces using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Proficient in utilizing the Entity Framework ORM in a .Net application. ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS The ability to read and write SQL, particularly for Microsoft SQL Server Experience with DevExpress WPF Controls (.Net control library) Python Javascript / HTML / CSS Visual Basic (for Excel automation)
