Responsibilities:
Description: Work directly with scientists within Discovery Research on assignments to write nonclinical research reports for internal use, collaborate with Non-clinical Development for incorporation of research reports into regulatory documents, and prepare nonclinical manuscripts for publication.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• On an as-needed basis write nonclinical study reports in coordination with the Project Team Leader and contributing scientists with minimal supervision
• Interpret data as needed, write, review, and/or edit internal drafts
• Develop and maintain timelines for document generation, revision, and completion, in collaboration with Project Team Leader
• Coordinate and manage review cycles within Discovery Research, incorporate team comments
• Work effectively with colleagues from other departments in team situations.
Qualities/skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Detail-oriented and able to set and follow timelines
• Possesses good editorial/proofreading skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Working knowledge of complex laboratory procedures and data interpretation
• Self-motivated, can work independently
• the ability to generate figures from data (figure drafting)
Qualifications:
Ph.D. preferred, minimum MS in a scientifically related discipline (biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, etc) with at least 5 years of experience in a research department setting within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
