Our client is looking for an IT Business Data Analyst. This person must be capable, and demonstrate experience mapping data from a source format into a new format. Must be able to manage large specifications documents for data integrations and process improvements. Must be able to work independently and manage direction
Top 5-10 responsibilities for this position ·      Elicit and interpret requirements and specifications from business stakeholders and translate into Functional Specifications ·      Perform data analysis on structured and unstructured data sets to identify structure and normalization for transformation into data warehouse ·      Write source to target mapping documentation to transform data from source format into data warehouse for storage ·      Perform data analysis, using in-depth knowledge of relational databases and healthcare data ·      Work with ETL Developers, DBA's, and QA teams to manage specifications through waterfall/Agile lifecycle ·      Analyze/Profile datasets using SQL
Software tools/skills ·      SQL ·      Relational Database concepts ·      Data Warehouse understanding
Preferred Skills ·      Soft skills – presentations ·      Heavy customer interaction ·      ETL Development ·      EMR interface configuration experience ·      HL7 messaging
