Job Title : UI Engineer

Location : Austin, TX

Duration : 6 Months plus

Experience : 10+ years

Description

We are looking for a passionate UI Engineer who contributes to define, implement and maintain highly, scalable, distributed and resilient software applications. Responsibilities will include all aspects of software development lifecycle, starting from architecture and design to coding and testing.

Qualifications:
- Subject matter expert in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Have a flair for good visual design and are able to code it in most scalable, efficient, cross browser compatible and performant way
- Utilize modern software engineering methodologies to deliver a successful product
- Love working on a lean team and getting stuff done
- Always trying to keep up with technology and have built a portfolio which you want to share with us
- Experience building a UI pattern library in the past to help bridge the gap between IT and Design worlds
- Natural eye for minimal design and good composition, and you obsess about details, interactions, and delighting users
- Passionate about the quality of work you produce
- Currently using KSS because it's the right thing to do
- Strong advocate for NodeJS, ReactJS or AngularJS, ExpressJS

Required Technical Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working with consumer facing websites
- Expert in UI build and automation processes (Bonus points if you have worked with Jasmine, Mocha w/ Chai and Karma)
- Expert in web standards and best practices
- Deep understanding of Foundation or Bootstrap UI frameworks
- Experience with CSS pre-processors such as LESS and SASS
- Deep understanding of WCAG AA and AAA compliance
- Have worked in teams running SCRUM or Kanban (Bonus points if you have experience with Atlassian tools)
- Git experience is a big plus
