Role: Senior PL/SQL Developer (With Business Objects/ BO Exp)

Experience – 8 – 10 years

Location – Baltimore, MD

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.	Perform requirements analysis and design reports, Oracle database programs and queries to assist employees and partners with accessing and using company data effectively.	40%
2.	Collaborate with report team and other IT team members to solve business user reporting and data access questions and requests for additional information.	30%
3.	Investigate and resolve application issues escalated from the business and Helpdesk; work with other developers as needed when system bug fixes or modifications are required.	20%
4.	Handle special projects, as requested, in order to meet the changing needs of the corporation and/or business environment and to take advantage of first to market opportunities.	10%

 Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. ·         Strong knowledge of Oracle database and database tuning

·         5+ years Oracle SQL, including query optimization for analyzing large data sets

·         Knowledge of analytical SQL

·         Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL programming

·         Experience with Business Objects (BO) development/ configuration is a plus

 

Other Skills and Abilities

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·         Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously

·         Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team

·         Willingness to accept new projects and take ownership of work product

·         Very good verbal and written communication skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees and external business partners to maximize performance and results

 

Additional important pointers based on discussion with client / interview feedback received from client:

1.       Hands on Experience with Analytical functions

2.       Strong experience in Oracle Query Tuning Techniques

3.       Strong experience on Oracle SQL, PL/SQL Programming

4.       Experience with Oracle 11G – Path Inserts, Partition Exchange techniques
