Detailed Job Description :
This focus of the role is to work
- Design and develop on the strategic Compliance platform for the firm
- Work independently on assigned activities – no need to be directed at all times
- Assist team lead in executing the project plan and meeting due dates
- Assist QA team in building test plan and test scripts
- Assist team lead and/or own release management of the systems developed
- Support systems (L2/L3) in production promptly and in a professional manner
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with total of 3-5 years of experience
- Strong 3 to 5 years of core Java and J2EE experience
- Experience with common Java design pattern
- Strong database skills – SQL server, Oracle
- Fully versed with SDLC process including agile methodology
- Capital Markets experience is a plus: understanding of Equities and Fixed Income Products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player and interpersonal skills
- The candidate should have a positive outlook, with the personality to work with the development committee as well as present to business or IT senior managers as required.
- Experience using Java to build Rich Interface Websites a huge plus
Skills preferred:
- Experience with Build Automation – Hudson/ AnthillPro/ TeamCity/ Cruise Control – a plus
- Experience of Compliance functions a huge plus too.
- Scripting (Perl/Shell) is a plus
