JOB DESCRIPTION
The QA Automation Engineer executes Quality Assurance (QA) processes. Identifies problems, generates alternatives, and recommends solutions within defined processes. This position documents the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. Collaborates effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the execution of testing procedures. This position supports testing efforts medium to large complexity. This position would also responsible for creating automated test scripts using Selenium.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
5+ years in a QA automation function using technologies Selenium
Knowledge of Jenkins and Mavin
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, thoughts, and opinions during requirements and design sessions with the development team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to take initiative, learn quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities is essential.
Strong attention to detail
Experience in the commercial banking or financial services industries a plus
Technical Requirements
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Core Java
Experience with object/relational mappings tools like Java Persistence API (JPA) or Hibernate is a strong plus
Experience with JEE6 including EJB3 is a strong plus
SQL Query Writing
