Position - SQL Developer

Location - Greenville, SC

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SQL Developer will be responsible for developing new database objects as well as maintaining and improving existing objects.  You will work within a small innovative team that is translating Software from older existing platforms to Oracle PL/SQL and Java based applications.  In this role, you will interact with engineers, peers, direct management, and various stakeholders (i.e. finance, risk analysts, sales).   You may additionally support the sun setting of existing applications and migrating database objects between Dev/QA and Production environments.  During programming sprints, you will contribute mostly to backend areas of application development but also be involved in front end and overall development.

 

Deliverables:

 

·         Fast Works support for Oracle SQL Development

·         Web and Database development in support of Next Generation Java based framework

·         Support additional programming enhancements to current RAM Deck/Mini/On-Line CBM applications

·         VBA/Excel macro support

·         DB development and SQL application support

·         VB.net/VS/VBA migration to SQL

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields

·         5+ years in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Database Programming and Administration

·         Deep knowledge of Oracle database design and development.  Able to create packages, stored procedures, and triggers.

·         Knowledge of design and development of WEB applications

·         Experience with MS Application Development including Excel VBA, VB.net(or equivalent)

·         Understanding of object oriented design

·         Experience with Java, JavaScript

·         Good analytical and communication skills.  Able to communicate and document designs, as well as troubleshoot and articulate problems and their solutions.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

·         Experience with Agile methodology

·         Experience in web page development using HTML5 and JavaScript, including JavaScript based frameworks, such as jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap, EmberJS, etc.

·         Experience VBA and .Net application development (VB.net/C++/C#)

·         Knowledge of Power Generation equipment
