Location: Chicago IL/ Wilmington DE

Duration: 12+ months contract

Job Description:

·         Performance Test Lead. Load Runner, good comm. skills, ability to work with teams to troubleshoot, communicate results and fix things, NOT looking for someone to just run scripts, need end-to-end testing experience.

·         Works in conjunction with the Business Analysts, Architecture and Development teams to ensure that applications meet performance requirements and are of high quality.

·         Reviews Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, and Test Cases to understand the functional and technical performance requirements in order to test the performance of the application and verify those requirements are successfully met.

·         Identifies performance diagnostic and tuning activities.

·         Designs and implements performance monitoring tools. Collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production to support root cause analysis. Defines capacity management work plans and resources.

·         Coordinates with project leadership to ensure that capacity management activities and resources are integrated into overall project plan and schedule.

·         Executes performance test scripts, documents defects and identifies solutions where the actual results do not successfully meet expected results.

·         Creates performance engineering estimates and allocates resources for individual projects. Has significant interaction with internal customers.

·         At this grade, the role should exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·         7+ years professional experience in performance testing

·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task

·         Ability to Lead Projects and provide solutions

·         Self-starter capability, ability to acquire new skills autonomously

·         Good communication skills, should be able to speak up during engagement meetings

·         Extensive technical problem-solving skills

·         Experience in software quality assurance, defect tracking, and test strategy development

·         Must have experience preparing and presenting test results and reports.

·         Linux and Windows environments

 

Required Skills:

Experience in developing VU Scripts for performance testing

Experience of Load Runner & Performance Center setup / installations / Administration / Troubleshoot

Experience in developing Performance Test Plans and Performance test Scenarios using requirements and design documents while specifying Testing Overview, Approach, Strategy, Scope, Architecture, Environment, Roles and Responsibilities

Experience in performance testing of below mentioned protocols -

1. Web - http/https

2. Web Services

3. SQL(Oracle must)

4. JAVA

5. MQ Messaging

6. UI Applications - .NET, C++, Java etc

Experience with Monitoring tools - Wily Introscope, Site scope or other Java monitoring tools
