Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for performance and scalability assurance
Work in the capacity of a technical lead from a performance
perspective
Provide advice on new feature design and measure the actual
performance metrics of the design decision
Lead a team of performance assurance engineers with
extensive performance experiences and strong technical skills.
Drive performance assurance across all dimensions, including
scalability, stress and longevity testing
Advocate performance assurance as an integrated step during
the product development lifecycle
Work with operation teams to enable monitoring and
benchmarking frameworks and analyze reports on a regular basis
Handle customer escalation, prioritize initiatives and align
them with business goals. Ensure optimal resource allocation to maximize the
impact of all performance efforts
Help define track and enhance team productivity metrics to
drive for performance
Required experience and skills
Hands on experience on various performance and load
assurance practices and methodology
Rich s/w development experience in commercial products with
large scope - .net and more
Strong experience with relational databases and ER modeling
Expert level in performance profiling, analyzing and tuning
Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures and be
able to assess tradeoffs between memories vs CPU vs I/O vs database load etc.
Experience with system administration, application server
configuration, network configuration and setup
Highly goal oriented, flexible and be able to adjust to changing
priorities under stressful conditions and tight schedules.
Should be a self starter and be comfortable and highly
effective when working across teams
Be highly motivated to improve application performance
Rich experience working on real large deployment of
production
