JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications. This position will ensure that the use of Business Intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. This position is responsible for verifying accuracy of data, and maintaining and supporting the data warehouse. The Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with multiple business units to define requirements and implement business analyst solutions.
•Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Intelligence report solutions to meet the needs of the business users
•Design, implement and support all aspects of Business Intelligence development
•Design, implement and support all methods of data delivery, including reports and user interfaces
•Gather requirements, analyze, develop and test queries and reports using SQL
•Create and deploy web-based dashboards, reports, and company reporting solutions
•Assist end users in the use of data to satisfy reporting needs
•Design and create reporting cubes for ad hoc analysis
•Ad hoc reporting and data delivery
•Design and implement data quality and data auditing processes
•Design, configure, implement, administer and support business intelligence applications
•Document Business Intelligence solutions
•Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure compliance with user requirements
•Verify correctness and completeness of data model, data relationships, mappings and reports
•Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent experience
•Experience in database and application development
•Strong knowledge in database programming (SQL, stored procedures, etc.)
•Experience working with Business Intelligence tools (experience with Hyperion and Oracle OBIEE tools a plus)
•OLAP experience a plus
•Understand multiple data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata
•Ability to produce business results in a fast-paced environment
•Comfortable leading the design and development of Business Intelligence and data warehouse technologies
•Ability to solve complex and cross-functional projects spanning multiple technologies and disciplines
•Some after-hours and weekend work will be required as needed
•Background in retail a plus
•Certifications a plus
•Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
•Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
