IT Data Architect Consultant
As an IT Data Architect Consultant, you will play a key role in driving the technical direction takes with our products, services or strategy. Analyzing the value and use of data, you'll translate it to the goals of the enterprise. You will work directly with the business and IT to create and maintain enterprise data management capabilities. You will establish and maintain data standards, policies and architectures while also creating the conceptual and logical models of enterprise data and its movement across our systems.
Knowledge and Experience Needed to be Successful:
* Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or related discipline: Computer Science, Information Systems (IS), or Management Information Systems (MIS); in lieu of a degree, related work experience will be accepted
* 10 years of Information Technology experience with a broad data-centric background in application development and specific experience in database oriented applications; 5 or more years of experience as a Data Architect or Data Modeler (specifically: Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Modeling, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and/or Metadata Management).
* Proficient in DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server, and have experience with CA/Erwin or another data modeling tool
* Master's degree in a technical discipline preferred

* Able to consider technical decisions as part of a multi-dimensional problem, balancing standards, principles, project management disciplines (cost, time, schedule), teams norms (consultation, decision making, communication) and process
* Ability to translate strategic vision for data architecture into understandable terms for a variety of audiences
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and influence across organizational boundaries while leading others through change
* Excellent presentation, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
* Exceptional negotiation skills; ability to find successful resolutions for highly complex issues (escalating those that require management involvement when necessary)
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment: independently organize all team resource to solve data design related problems and make recommendations for strategic direction with regard to enterprise data architected solutions
* Demonstrates flexibility and collaboration while actively seeking out diverse opinions and perspectives when formulating decisions and recommendations
* Exceptional organization skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
* Ability to support department goals that align with current and future Company objectives and initiatives
* Successful track record of coaching and mentoring others
