High level design for project initiatives
ETL Design and development leadership; ensures all design assets are complete and approved prior to development.
Lead a team of 4-7 developers, delivering ETL, SQL and MicroStrategy solutions.
Represent the offshore development team to onshore project team members including the project manager, solution architect, DBA, business analysts
Ensure that technical risks are identified, reported and resolved
Develop ETL mappings in support of the project
Create and support migration between environments
Develop and lead development of support hand-over documentation
Review all design and development and with project teams, BSA, testers, support
Prepares and ensures test scenarios are complete and accurate; review and approve test plans
Responsible for support hand-over documentation
Qualifications:
5+ years experience developing in Informatica PowerCenter in an enterprise environment.
Ability to lead complex teams
Able to work flexible hours in support of onshore/offshore teams – including working some weekends
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Experience in the design and specification of complex (multi-source, multi-target) ETL workflows in support of data warehousing.
MicroStrategy knowledge and experience (preferred) 9
Specific experience with PowerCenter v.7 or v.8 (preferred) 9
Knowledge of Oracle 11, Sybase, IBM DB2 ver 9 as sources desirable
Understanding of Sybase stored procedure language desirable
Unix shell scripting required
Ability to work well with a diverse, multi-disciplined team
