Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.

·         2 plus years hands-on experience in Big Data technologies - Hadoop (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR), Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Ambari, SQL-H.

·         4 plus years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         3+ years experience with highly parallel processing databases like Teradata a must.

·         3+ years of ETL testing a must.

·         Experience working with third party vendor data highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
Participates in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions.

Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains internal and external data.  Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process.  Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including Map Reduce Programs, Pig/Hive Scripts, SQL-H, Stored Procedures, etc. Develops and reviews project plans, identifies issues, resolves issues, and communicates status of assigned projects to users and manager. Experience in operational support and hands-on implementation Hadoop based Big Data Platforms. Gathers requirements, builds logical models and provides quality documentation of detailed user requirements for the design and development of systems. Directs quality of entire systems ensuring that the systems meet the needs of the business. Mentors less experienced Systems Analysts.
