Work Location: Austin, TX.
Duration : 3 Months+ Contract with Possible Extension

Role: VMware Architect

Dev Architect needs to be a domain expert in Cloud/VMware/Networking technologies

Senior Developing virtual firewall product to keep up with their industry peers and high level technical requirements document has been created

Since this work requires network virtualization, cloud engineering related skills,

HP will be refining the requirements and technology choices in the next few weeks technical architect who is well versed with network virtualization, vmware NSX platform and NetX APIs.

Basic deployment use cases? vNGFW Host Mode?

Protection of traffic going into/out of any VM on an ESXi host

Protection of intra-VM traffic (east-west)

Tightly integrated with VM infrastructure? e.g. adds agents to hypervisor, needs to perform actions as VMs come and go, policy built around VM constructs) vNGFW Perimeter Mode? Essentially replacing the role of a dedicated perimeter firewall appliance? Protection of a network, via protection of north-south.
