Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Duration: 6+ Months

SKILLS REQUIRED
Demonstrated experience leading QA projects (3-5 years)
Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance (8+ years)
Strong testing tools / systems experience
Experience using source control tools (e.g., CVS, Subversion).
Thorough knowledge of software development, configuration management, release processes
Thorough understanding and knowledge of Open Source development platforms (LAMP – Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl)
Thorough understanding and knowledge of Web Technologies/protocols (CSS, JSON, AJAX, SOAP, JavaScript, Flash, HTTP, SSL)
Experience in using SQL (MySQL/Oracle), Unix/Linux & scripting languages (Perl, Python)
Experience testing API's
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to make well-reasoned decisions by carefully listening to and critically evaluating evidence and arguments made by various team members.
The ability to convincingly argue a position or decision by organizing and presenting empirical evidence and your reasoning in clear, concise language.
Proven ability to write concise, complete, well organized bug reports, test cases, and status reports.
Document all stages of the QA process and work with QA Management to define & improve best testing practices.
A demonstrated ability to translate broad goal-oriented direction into specific plans and tasks for you and your team.
A solid history of executing work based on your plans (and those from others) and adapting to changes in plans gracefully and helping your teams learn to do the same.
Perform test case reviews and provide feedback to junior team members in developing appropriate test cases and strategies
Provide technical guidance and help in developing technical skills
Help provide understanding of test systems and architecture
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate an idea, concept, or position on topics within the QA/Test domain.
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Experience working with off-shore teams is a plus.

 

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance professional in both manual and automated testing
Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities. Above all else, incumbent must have exceptional problem solving skills

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related experience
