Skills Required and Job Description:

Responsibilities: Require the services of a very experienced SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP3 Functional Configure to complete the implementation of Technical Operations - Technical Monitoring. This is a hands-on position. Must have extensive previous experience with complete an existing Technical Monitoring 7.1 configuration and set-up including but not limited to: • Basic System Configuration • Managed System Configuration • Installation and configuration of 7.3 Diagnostic and host agents • Configure of both SAP and non-SAP systems • Creation and customization of monitoring alerting templates • Configuration of all aspects of technical monitoring, technical administration and technical reporting of SAP and non-SAP systems • Configuration of root cause analysis • Configuration of interactive reporting • Configuration of self-diagnosis • Ability to complete end-to-end installation and configuration, and to troubleshoot existing configuration that may not be functioning correctly • Qualified candidate is expected to hit the deck running with a minimum of spin up time, to help complete an existing installation/configuration, resolve errors in a partially completed configuration. Conduct knowledge transfer to existing on-site support staff so configuration can be sustained, and new systems can be added as per a clearly defined process. Specific Deliverables: • 223 out of 305 servers are currently configured and operational, of the remaining servers, many are partially configured, need to be completed, or there are errors in the configuration that require resolution, or possible reconfiguration. • At the end of the engagement, all 305 servers, including 35 non-SAP servers (UNIX and Windows) are to be fully configured and operational in solution manager technical operations. • Root cause analysis is configured and operational for all 305 server nodes • Interactive reporting is configured and operational for technical operations • technical monitoring self-diagnosis is configured and operational • existing installation and configuration documents are reviewed and updated as required • Knowledge transfer to incumbent staff is conducted for each phase of configuration, installation and set-up Requirements: • Bachelors degree preferred • SAP Certified Technology Associate - Configuration and Operations for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 preferred • 8+ years of SAP experience • 5+ years experience of setup and configuration of SAP Solution Manager • recent implementation experience of Solution Manager 7.1 Technical Operations resulting in a successful deployment
