Duration: 1 year with the option to extend indefinitely

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Front Office Credit/Fixed Income business is growing which is driving the need to add two resources to expand its staff. These roles will be critical for the continuing advancement of these strategic efforts. The candidate will become an integral member of the front office development team. They will be responsible for working and interacting with other development team members to implement, test and deliver production quality software to the Front Office. Depending on the level of experience, the candidate's involvement may extend into working with key Front Office personnel in the problem analysis and software design phases as well.

Minimum Requirements

4 year Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent (Computer Science or Finance related degree is preferred)y

Candidates must have at least 5 years of development experience in either C#.NET, Java or C++

Complex/Structured products such as CLO's, CDO's and MBS's. 

Proven experience building and integrating these products with third party systems is mandatory

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in an IT development role within the financial industry, preferably Front Office

Experience developing new and innovative techniques to assist pre-trade analysis, risk measurement, performance analysis, and portfolio construction

Familiarity with Bloomberg and other trading applications

Experience working in a globally distributed team and environment

Proven ability to handle real time problem solving in a Trading environment

Development experience in Python, Perl, Java, .NET and C/C++

Strong knowledge of SQL, Sybase, Tomcat and Apache

Experience in working on both Windows and Linux platforms

Practical experience with Source code control systems and release management techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
