Job Title: : Business Objects Developer
Location:    Washington, DC
Duration:  : 6 +Months Contract

 

Summary:
Mentors the junior team members on Technical Competencies and provides performance feedback of the individual team members to Project Manager in order to manage performance.
Build repository of team's collective knowledge, seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects in order to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness and preserve organization knowledge.
Bachelor's Engineering degree / Masters in Computers
Should have minimum 3 years of experience in development in Business Object XI R3.1 and above.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work in a team environment
Should have experience on two end to end full DW project life cycles.
Strong knowledge in Data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, OLAP processing.
Lead Report design based on requirement gathered while working on cross functional project team
Experience in designing and building the Universe using BO Universe Designer, manage and deliver interactive web based reports(Webi Reports, Deski or Crystal reports) using Business Object Rich Client or Infoview(Web – based Client).
Experience in designing and building the models using Universe Designer and Ad-hoc reporting using Infoview or Rich Client.
Good understanding of OLAP processing for changing and maintaining the warehouse optimizing dimensions, working knowledge of creating classes & objects, LOV's, Prompts, Ranking Measures, Loop problems, etc using Business Object Universe Designer.
Good understanding of Report scheduling, creating report instances and working knowledge of parameter passing on the report.
Strong knowledge of report Testing (Unit Testing, Bulk Data Testing, Acceptance Testing) and bug fixing. 
Strong SQL programming skills and strong RDBMS knowledge including the ability to analyze and debug complex SQL queries.
Prepare technical documentation of product sub systems.
Performance-tune the report and the base query.
Knowledge of BO administration/ configuration (CMC) would be an added benefit.
Resolved data problem discovered by quality QA and developed solution to the problem.
