Job title: Mobile App developer

Location: NYC, NY

Duration :6-12+ months

Rate: $DOE/ daily rate

Must Required Skills :

• Mastery of JavaScript and an Object Oriented language such as Java or C++

• Background in designing Object Oriented software, re-usable components and frameworks in Java or C++

• Deep understanding of implementing Object Oriented frameworks in JavaScript using techniques such as: organizing code into classes, constructors, inheritance, abstraction, encapsulation, polymorphism, virtual methods

• Experience with SVG and Canvas

• Experience in data visualization

• Experience with HTML5 and CSS3

• Ability to code and debug HTML5, JavaScript and CSS

• Experience with mobile web or mobile app development using either native (iOS/ObjectiveC or Android) or mobile web (HTML5 with jQuery Mobile or Sencha Mobile)

• Experience building high performance web or mobile web apps with demonstrated ability to optimize through good design and coding practices

• Strong communication, team and work ethic

Desired Skills

• Experience w/ Agile development methods, especially scrum

• Experience working with off shore teams

• Working knowledge of PhoneGap or or other Mobile Hybrid JavaScript Frameworks

• Working knowledge of designing UI's for multiple form factors using techniques such as responsive design, device detection, CSS3 media queries

• Working knowledge of designing mobile web apps for low bandwidth and high latency network connectivity
