Skills Required and Job Description:

Direct Client Requirement Primary Job Responsibilities:- This Software Quality Engineering (QE) position will contribute to the testing of multi-tier distributed software applications with the following specific job responsibilities:·      Design and execute QE initiative of Client's Search Back-End Platform. As part of the Search Backend team, this individual will be responsible for the oversight and test implementation and execution functional as well as integration testing.·        Be able to articulate, evaluate and evangelize testing strategies and apply them in Client's context as well as come up with metrics for realistic testing effort estimation.·         Work with Product Development, Product Management, Quality Engineering, Load & Performance, and Operations teams to develop innovative testing solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles.·      Estimate testing effort, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and help rollout system changes.·         Must have flexible work ethic to work with offshore development and other Quality teams when required.·         Must be familiar with Agile testing methodology and terminology.·         Must be experienced in SQL, Unix, Java and/or C++.·         Any Hadoop/HBase experience is a significant plus.·         Familiarity with Perl, Python, XML, HTML, and NT systems is a plus.·     Solid software development background is highly recommended.
