Project Title: Senior Network Engineer

Project Location: Fairfield, CA

Project Duration: 6 months

 

Project Details: Performs network implementations, deployments/support, Network Configuration, including but not limited to: configuration, testing, deployment and support of secure data services for local area networks (LAN), inter-data center connectivity, wide area networks (WAN) and some voice. 

 

 

Essential Requirements:

-      A passion for the networking profession

-      Ability to travel 20%

-      Professional Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCDP, etc…)

-      Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-      Expertise with developing complex network design documents and presentations (PowerPoint and Visio)

-      Excellent written and oral English communication and presentation skills. Outstanding documentation skills 

-      Expertise with Network Protocols: ARP, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, HSRP, IGMP, BGP, OSPF,IP, LACP, OSPF, PIM, RIP, SNMP, STP, TCP, UDP, VTP

-      Expertise with IP networking (NAT, TCP/IP, Multicast, etc.)

-      Expertise and extensive experience managing Cisco Firewalls, Catalyst switches, Load Balancers, VOIP implementations and customer integration. Ability to setup devices, configure policies, modify ACL's and troubleshoot issues.

-       Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)

 

Highly Desirable Requirements (must possess working knowledge of a majority of the following):

-      Expertise with packet capture and interpretation of network traffic 

-      Expertise with a wide range of WAN/LAN Network Topologies (Ethernet, WAN, MPLS and Wireless)

-      Use of network mapping and packet crafting tools to diagnose network problems

-      Ability to use Windows tools  and interfaces to client/server applications

-      Working knowledge of network management tools Working knowledge of Windows/UNIX Operating Systems

 

Preferable Requirements (candidates with the following will receive preference)

-      Bachelor's degree and/or Six or more years of experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer
