Well, in my book,the repubs for always shooting down a raise in min wage.  Quit making it more profitable to collect welfare than work.

 Any wage over what the employee is worth is over generous. I paid my guys a little bit more than they were worth. Far above minimum wage. And I provided no benefits, I hired them to work, I did not adopt them. Lost their job? Get another. Businesses downsizing? Talk to the idiot in the White House, his policies have killed 8 million jobs with more coming.
