When exactly did we change our policy on Israel and turn our backs on them? While Obama and Clinton may water at the mouth for that possibility, it has not happened yet. As it stands today neither presents a coherent policy regarding Israel and is trying to walk a tightrope between Israel and other Democratic nations and their new friends in Marxist and Islamo fascist nations.

Romney to Back Israel’s Right to Strike Iran, Aide Says
Some of you may have read my fears of what Willard would do in Israel... It appears that they may have come to fruition.
In a speech here Sunday evening, Mitt Romney plans to assert that he respects Israel’s right to take pre-emptive action to prevent Iran from developing nuclear capabilities that could be used for a weapon.
Dan Senor, a senior Romney foreign policy adviser who helped orchestrate Mr. Romney’s stop here, told reporters in a briefing before the speech that Mr. Romney would express — several times — that it was “unacceptable” for Iran to develop the capability to build nuclear weapons, including his view that Israel reserves the right to take action against Iran.
“If Israel has to take action on its own, in order to stop Iran from developing that capability, the governor would respect that decision,” Mr. Senor said.*

IMHO, the implied change in our nations policy, indeed the threat of military engagement, is beyond the scope of Willard's allowable behavior. He is not the President. Nor the Congress. For the moment, he is but an ordinary citizen of the United States. His job is to listen, not to speak.
If he has a "foreign policy" to articulate, it should be done here in America, not abroad.
America is tired of war, we cannot afford to throw our blood and treasure into another endless experiment of regime change and state building in our likeness.
Our priority should be the flow of oil to points all over the world, not the disposition of an Iatola in Iran, or the rebuilding of a secular society there.
