ROLE: Content Developer    

Duration: 1 year plus     

Location: Columbia, SC

Rate Range : $40 - $45/hr on C2C

Job Description:

3+ years’ experience developing public facing content for private and government entities. 3+ years’ experience developing and maintaining content publishing workflows using tools such as Oracle UCM, WordPress, WebCenter Sites, AEM, and Magento. Knowledge of client-side JavaScript extensions such as jQuery, Node.js, Metal.js, AngularJS, and Handlebars. Experience with developing mobile web-based experiences using media queries, grid-layout style CSS, and fluid CSS layouts. Experience with basic manipulation of graphics such as cropping, color correction, and desaturation. Strong understanding of the effects of text and graphics across multiple delivery platforms such as social media feeds, mobile browsers, desktop browsers, video feeds, print media.

 

Position requires exception written communication skills to develop public facing content that may need to conform to one or more industry standards such as 508 compliance and UAAG. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

 

Responsibilities also include managing and maintaining content lifecycle, knowledge gathering, and enforcing content governance across a wide variety of web-based portal applications. Content testing against multiple hardware and browser platforms. Participating in business analysis and requirements gathering meetings. Conforming to standards defined by the communications department.

 

Requirements:

3-5 years writing copy for online consumption either in a government or healthcare industry.

3 years experience with at least one major web publishing workflow tool

2 years experience managing and maintaining a corporate social media presence

2-3 years experience developing portlets in an enterprise Portal application such as SharePoint, WebCenter, Liferay, Drupal, or WebSphere

 

Experience with:

   jQuery

   Twitter Bootstrap

   HTML 5

   CSS 3.0

   JSR 186/268/362

 

Multi-lingual a plus (Spanish/English)

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience

COBOL.
