Role- SR SQL Database developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

REQUIREMENT:

The Sr. Database Developer is responsible for SQL software design and development in implementing system requirements and technical specifications; Perform design and source code review. Perform unit testing and dev testing. Preparing technical and other project documentation; performing other duties as required to ensure that products or features meet requirements and quality standards.

Primary skills required for the position include:

• Expert knowledge in T-SQL, version 2008 is preferred
  
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience of T-SQL
  
• Advanced data modeling, data abstraction, and concepts that use metadata to drive SQL processes
  
• Experience with dynamic SQL queries
  
• Experience with SSIS, T-SQL and Microsoft database tools
  
• A good understanding of both SQL server security and windows security is preferred.
  
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the data and applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation and problem resolution.
  
• Define, develop, document and maintain procedural and SQL programs.
  
• Provide input into standards and best practices for code development.
  
• SQL Development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
  
• Performance tuning of the SQL procedures
  
• Experience with Team Foundation Server is preferred as is experience with database solutions within Visual Studio
  
• Experience with systems that comprise of multiple large and complex databases spanning multiple servers
  
• Work with a team of database developers to accomplish a common set of goals
  
• Serve as a primary development resource for database projects
  
• Design and develop additions to existing database solutions or new database solutions while following internal best practices
  
• Understand and develop accurately based on technical specifications or nontechnical business requirement documents
