POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Overall summary statement explaining the general scope of responsibilities
10 years hands-on experience with SAP business applications, including SAP R/3 Application Components: MM, SD and LO
Experience with conversion activities including the extraction, transformation and load of data from the Company's legacy environments into SAP.
Experience in SAP data migration projects, working with key users and managers, local legacy systems experts, and SAP developers.
Experience with data cleansing activities including liaison with the Company's business and IT operations to identify the scope and plan from data cleansing across all SAP functions.
Experience in integrating SAP with external applications that may send or consume SAP Master Data.
A minimum of 5 years experience in roles that have driven the implementation of data governance discipline and knowledge management processes across a large enterprise, ideally in the retail segment.
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience with SAP master data.
Experience in process design and optimization and management roles (direct and indirect) that have directed data governance processes across the enterprise.
Previous experience with SAP Materials Management function is strongly desired.
Strong experience in implementing governance strategies and master data policies/procedures/data definitions in a large ERP implementation is preferred.
SQL relational databases including Microsoft Access
Prior experience coordinating cross-functional project/assignment is required
Strong analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage and adapt to dynamic changes in priorities, resources and deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; interacts with all levels of associates and management within the organization
Ability to read and interpret SAP ABAP code
Ability to write Functional Specifications
Ability to work strategically as well as tactically
Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self directed environment
DUTIES:
Describe day-to-day activities:
Leading the successful delivery of SAP MDM technology and strategic initiatives
Support SAP interfaces that gather and distribute master dataConfigure SAP business rules to meet requirements defined by the business community
Migrating legacy data into new SAP environment
Leading in the execution and documentation of the data migration process from legacy systems to SAP, while developing and maintaining standards and guidelines for global data management after migration
Facilitating key decisions regarding data standards within SAP
Interfacing with key business and project team members to facilitate seamless execution of data migration
Analyzing and resolving cross-functional data issues, across SAP modules and between SAP and legacy applications
Working with Migration Technical Analysts to ensure mappings and load specifications are consistent and accurate
Defining the cleaning effort resources required and their availability with functional owners of data
Working with business users/owners to complete data mapping documents and define business rules to clean and transform data
Creation and management of various data governance processes and creation of procedures to govern data within the organization.
Data analysis to create data structures and move data.
Provide ongoing daily and/or weekly status to supporting project and resource managers.
Data collection, Analysis and reporting for early detection and correction, continual improvement.
Work with cross functional tracks and teams to measure and analyze quality.
Producing data-driven analysis to solve business problems.
