Position: Storage Administrator – Net App

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6 Months

 

Essential Skills & Responsibilities Include:

 

·         Should have prior proven experience in setting a DC from scratch with respect to Windows/VM

·         Should have proven experience in large SAP infrastructure implementation

·         Should have proven prior experience in setting up an Overall Infra structure

·         Should prepare granular Detail Build plan for Primary and secondary DC                

·         Should interact with required, application and business architects to build the dc as per business req. this position would  be comp responsible for all tasks related to DC Build and associated communication and reporting.

·         This position will have to interact with the concerned infra SMEs, SLMs, infra solution architect to ensure the infra solution is completely implemented as per timeline.

·         This position will have to validate and approve all the procurement requests and ensure end to end delivery and implementation.

·         This position will be responsible for all technical tasks performed by the infra technical SMEs as part of the build phase, and must have the complete oversight at all times.

·         This position will have to determine and highlighted the risk in the build phase on a weekly basis.

·         This position will have to ensure proper handover of support to the SS team at the completion of build for environment. 

• Experience Working on Netapp FAS Series Filer platforms - Preferably - FAS 9xx, FAS 20xx, FAS 60xx, FAS 30xx Filers.
• Experience in administration and trouble shooting Data Ontap Operating Environment
• Creating and managing aggregates, volumes, Flex Volumes, Qtrees etc...
• Creating and Managing Clone volumes, snapshots and snap mirrors.
• Creating and Managing NFS and CIFS shares and Quotas in Netapp filers.
• Experienced with Setting up and managing DFM, Performance Advisor etc.
• Troubleshooting Volume and Qtree full issue on the Netapp Filer Side using Data ONTAP commands.
• Capable of Client side trouble shooting using OS Commands.
• Install/Upgrade/troubleshoot for Data Ontap on Netapp FAS Series Clusters and filers
• Good Understanding of Netapp FAS series hardware.
• Planning/Recommendation /Implementation of Netapp features as per the customer requirements.
• Good Communication and Problem solving Skills
• Good Team Player
• Experience in Remote IS Infrastructure management and support tools like BMC Remedy is a plus
• Experience in SAN / EMC DMX, Clariion platforms is a plus.
• Exposure to / awareness of ITIL v2/v3 is a plus
